Care instructions:

  • Before Use: Soak the tips of your chasen in warm water for a few minutes before each use to soften the bamboo, helping prevent breakage and allowing the prongs to open up for a better whisking experience.

  • After Use: Rinse your chasen thoroughly with warm water immediately after use to remove any matcha residue. Avoid using soap, as it can damage the bamboo and leave unwanted residue.

  • Drying: Shake off excess water and place the chasen upside down on a clean surface to air dry. Avoid leaving it in damp conditions to prevent mold or warping.

  • Storage: Store your chasen in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources to preserve the bamboo's longevity.
